Feeding America is the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Through a network of more than 200 food banks and food-rescue programs, we provide emergency food assistance to more than 25 million people each year, nine million of whom are children.

According to our recent hunger study:

Over one-third (36.4%) of all client households served have at least one child under the age of 18.  Learn more about Child Hunger.

31.6% of the families surveyed were forced to choose between buying food and paying for medical care or medicine.

42.6% of the clients served by the Feeding America Network reside in suburban/rural areas.
